Dr Mahaboob Basha attends historic ceremony Dr Mahaboob Basha from the Energy Safety Research Institute (ESRI) attended the King Charles' Coronation in Westminster on May 6.
Mahaboob, who works as ESRI's external relations and engagement manager, represented the diverse South Wales community at the historic ceremony.
In addition to his role at the university, Dr Basha serves as the communication and compliance lead for the new Sketty Mosque Community Centre on Sketty Park Road in Swansea. |

Biosciences student selected as a National Geographic Young Explorer The National Geographic Society has just revealed its 15 Young Explorers for 2023, and we extend our congratulations to MSc student Betty Jahateh for being chosen as one of them.
Betty, who is an environmental biologist, ocean youth leader, and consultant, has been recognized for her scientific innovation and conservation endeavors, particularly her groundbreaking research on saltwater intrusion in The Gambia.
The Young Explorers program carefully selects individuals based on their remarkable bravery, leadership qualities, and solutions that drive positive change. This year's cohort, hailing from 13 different countries, reflects a diverse and dynamic group of explorers. |
